Work in Canada after your studies
As an international student in Canada, the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) can be your bridge from the classroom to a professional career. At Strides Immigration Consulting Inc., we help graduates avoid costly mistakes and submit strong PGWP applications that align with their long-term immigration goals.

What is a Post-Graduation Work Permit?
A PGWP is an open work permit that allows eligible graduates of certain Canadian designated learning institutions (DLIs) to work for almost any employer, in most occupations, anywhere in Canada.
It is usually issued once in a lifetime
It can be valid up to 3 years, depending on the length and type of your program
It can help you gain the Canadian work experience you may later need for permanent residence pathways (such as Express Entry or provincial programs)

Who May Be Eligible?
In general, you may be eligible to apply for a PGWP if:
You completed a program of study at an eligible DLI in Canada
Your program met the minimum length requirement (usually at least 8 months)
You studied full-time for most of your program (with limited exceptions)
You received a final transcript and an official letter of completion from your school
You apply within the permitted time window after your school confirms that you have met your program requirements
You maintained valid status in Canada and complied with your study permit conditions
Important: PGWP rules can change. Not all programs or schools qualify. We always review the most current IRCC criteria before advising you.

Our PGWP support is ideal for:
New graduates who want to apply correctly the first time
Students who changed programs, took leave, or studied part-time
Graduates worried about online courses or DLI/program eligibility
Students who need to align their PGWP with a clear PR strategy
